A New Vision for the Visual Arts Building
The School of Fine Arts and Humanities at Casper College is proud to offer a vibrant and comprehensive visual arts program with accredited professional degrees in fine art, photography, graphic design, art education, art, and museum and gallery studies. Given the constraints of the current building, it was imperative to have a vision for the future and forge a plan to facilitate, maintain, and broaden the success and excellence of the visual arts program.
The new building will provide health and safety updates, cutting edge technology for designers, student and visiting artist galleries, and classrooms appropriately outfitted for a meaningful study of the arts in the 21st century.
For areas such as Museum Studies, this new building offers an engaging opportunity to work with the Casper College Fine Art Collection in dedicated collections storage and exhibition preparation areas. In art history courses, students can easily utilize collection works for art criticism and art theory analysis.
Scheduled to break ground in April 2021, we anticipate students to start utilizing this new resourceful center for arts at Casper College by Fall 2021. The new building will facilitate curricular opportunities for creative expression, cultivating visual literacy, and discourse in the humanities for years to come.
