Dylan and Rob Herr, owners of the Red Wing store in Casper, have created a scholarship and gift of a pair of Red Wing boots for students majoring in a trades program.
One student will receive a scholarship of $500, and another graduating trades major will receive a new pair of Red Wing boots.
To qualify for the scholarship or the pair of boots, students must have a minimum 2.9 GPA, enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours, major in a trades program, and be a Wyoming resident. The $500 will be awarded for the fall semester, while the boots will be awarded to a student graduating from a trades program in the spring semester.
“We are establishing this scholarship because of the value and importance the trades have on our community and business,” said Dylan Herr. “Red Wing is very committed to the trades, and as a local dealership, we are honored to help in our local community,” he added.
